Pressurized lifestyles can cause tension, fear and worry.
This can create backache, headache, migraine and mental strain.
When the mind is disturbed, or we have physical tension, we withdraw our power.

We can learn, through the Ki exercises, to obtain a calm mind and relaxed body, enabling our power to be fully extended.
Through cooperative exercises, breathing and meditation,
we create a happier life for ourselves, and others.

- Aikido Class Subjects -
Self defence
Training in how deal with a physical attack with the aim of avoiding harm to either party and if necessary to immobilize the attacker with a hold until they are calmed or assistance arrives.
Stress management
Instruction in how to coordinate mind and body to stayed relaxed and calm in daily life. Principles are taught that simultaneously relax the body into an alert balanced condition, and calm the mind in a way that helps it focus.
Relaxation techniques
Teaching of a deep breathing method that boosts vitality, and a meditation method that concentrates then expands the mind.
Children's aikido lessons
Aikido lessons are given to a class of children aged 10 to 13 years old. These lessons emphasize non-competitive cooperation between two children to perform a technique where they take it in turns to hold or break free of a hold.
Dynamic massage
A method of rolling on a mat is taught that is very beneficial for the back and typically releases tension in the joints.
Passive massage
Kiatsu massage can be given to students to release knotted muscles or relax deeper tissue. It is similar to Shiatsu but is more subtle in the application of a much lighter pressure with a single finger or thumb.
Lessons in the use of Boken (sword) and Jo(staff)
Katas (a strict sequence of cuts and thrusts) are taught with Boken and Jo so that the student may safely learn how to perform a controlled attack or defence with either.
Living by Ki principles in every day activities
Guidance on eating, sleeping and performing actions in a way that strengthens your will, confidence, balance and coordination. This includes the principle of non-dissension to achieve positive outcomes in relationships.
